Work Opportunity Credit Forms

 

WORK OPPORTUNITY TAX CREDITS EXTENDED THROUGH 2025

If you hire a new employee that resides in Crawford or Seneca Counties and who is between the ages of 18 and 39 you are eligible for a tax credit of $2,400 on the first $6,000 of wages paid per employee.

This Work Opportunity Tax Credit was created because Crawford and Seneca Counties have been declared "designated rural renewal counties" as part of the Protecting Americans from Tax Hikes Act of 2015 (PATH Act).

We suggest that you make the certification requirements as part of your job application process because the paperwork needs to be filed with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services within 28 days of the start-to-work date.  The following forms are required for these credits:

IRS Form 8850
