About Our Firm

Mizick Miller was founded in 1972 by John D. Mizick. Over 50 years later, our firm has grown into a regional firm with three Certified Public Accountants included in a staff of over 18 professionals. With offices in Bucyrus and Upper Sandusky, we serve Wyandot, Crawford and surrounding counties. Our offices provide accounting, payroll, and tax services to businesses, organizations, and individuals.

We are recognized for our reputation of delivering excellent professional financial services, because we know our success is built on the success of our clients.  Our high standards, service, and specialized staff is the difference between our outstanding performance and the performance of other firms.

Our Team

Roger R. Miller, CPA, CVA

Roger is the president & CEO of MizickMiller. He is a graduate of Wynford High School and Tiffin University with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting. Roger joined the company in 1991 and became partner in 1993. He has been a certified public accountant since 1991 and a certified valuation analyst since 2001. Roger serves on the Board of Directors of Community Investors Bancorp, Inc. and the First Federal Community Bank, is a member of the Accounting and Advisory Board at North Central State College, and Board Trustee for the North Central State College Foundation. Roger enjoys hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and spending time with his family. He is also an avid Ohio State and Cleveland Guardians fan.

Matthew J. Orians, CPA, CVA

Matt has been with MizickMiller since 2009. He graduated from Upper Sandusky High School and the Ohio State University and became a certified public accountant in 2003 and a certified valuation analyst in 2012. He is vice president and a shareholder of MizickMiller. Matt is currently the treasurer of the Wyandot County Chamber of Commerce, serves on the governing board of United Way of North Central Ohio, and is the financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council #2050 of Upper Sandusky. If you are looking for Matt and he isn’t in the office, you’ll find him on one of the areas golf courses or at one of his sons', Noah & Evan, sporting events with his wife, Minda.

Zachary W. Chatlain, CPA, CVA

Zach joined MizickMiller in November of 2020 and became a shareholder in January of 2023. He is a graduate of Wynford High School and Notre Dame College (Ohio) with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, and Sport Management. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 2017 and a Certified Valuation Analysts since September of 2023. Zach serves as Treasurer for the Community Foundation of Crawford County, and is also an assistant football coach for Wynford High School. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, staying active, exercising, and golfing. He is also an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State fan.

Christy May

Christy began her career at Mizick Miller in December of 1997. She is the manager of the accounting department and a QuickBooks Pro Advisor. She is a graduate of Bucyrus High School and attended Marion Technical College. She enjoys spending time with her husband, children and family, but most of all, spoiling her grandchildren.

Cindi Welsh

Cindi graduated from Marion Technical College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She joined MizickMiller in 1995 as a staff accountant. Cindi works on write-up, business tax returns, and payroll. She is active in her church, and has been a 4-H Advisor for over 25 years. She also enjoys camping at Lake Erie with her family and friends.

Jill is a staff accountant, marketing manager, and HR manager for the firm. She keeps busy at MizickMiller by preparing personal tax returns, payroll processing, bookkeeping, business valuations, billing, marketing, and other administrative duties. She has worked for the firm since 1997. When not at work she enjoys gardening, cooking, long walks, and sunshine.

Melanie Shock

Melanie graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Information Systems. She has been with MizickMiller since 2000 as a staff accountant and keeps busy working on write-up, business tax returns, payroll, and computer services. Melanie is also one of the firms QuickBooks Pro Advisor, and is a board member for Hannah's House. Whether it’s at home or out camping, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family and supporting her children's sporting activities. She is active in her church and enjoys reading, her husband's cooking, and the Cleveland Guardians.

Nicole Tuggle

Nicole began working as a staff accountant for MizickMiller in 2012 after graduating from Tiffin University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. She works on write-up, financial statements, and business tax returns for the company. She is also the training coordinator. Nicole enjoys gardening, cooking, golfing, bowling, and walking her collie with her husband, Zach. She is an avid Cleveland Guardians fan.

Melissa joined MizickMiller in September of 2014 as a client service representative and billing clerk. She assists clients in our Bucyrus office. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to her kids sporting events, reading, exercising, and family movie nights!!

Jamie Lutz

Jamie joined MizickMiller in 2017 as a payroll processor. She is also part of the marketing committee. She has received an Associate's Degree in Accounting and an Associate's Degree in Business Management Technology/Marketing Media Option and has a Web Development Certification. When not at work, she enjoys boating, camping, and hunting with her sons, Kohan and Brayton.

Lori began working for MizickMiller in 2010 as a tax season receptionist, tax return processor, and 1099 form preparer. She now is a year-round part time payroll processor, still processing tax returns and preparing 1099 forms during tax season. In her free time, Lori enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and three grandchildren, as well as cooking and baking.

Dana graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. She joined MizickMiller in August of 2022 as a staff accountant. She works on payroll, bookkeeping, write-up, and business tax returns. Outside of work she enjoys reading and spending time with her family and friends.
